Nursery Child Care

We currently need a dedicated and caring nursery worker to allow parents to worship, knowing their children are safe.

Hours: 9:15 AM - 11:45 AM Sundays

Wage: $50 per Sunday

PURPOSE

To provide dependable, safe, secure, and nurturing care for children ages 0 to 3 while at our church, in a clean and welcoming environment.

Nursery care is available during Sunday School at 9:30 AM and Worship at 10:30 AM. The number of children will typically range from one to five. If more than five children are present, additional help will be provided. The ages of the children are 0–3 years.

RESPONSIBILIES

Provide age-appropriate care, including feeding, diaper changing, escorting children to the bathroom, maintaining a safe environment, putting children down for naps, holding or sitting with children, and cheerfully interacting with them through games, stories, play, and prayer.
Be polite, friendly, and courteous to all children, parents, and volunteers.
Remain until each child is safely released to a responsible adult listed on the child’s registration form.
In the event of an emergency, notify the parent(s) by phone.
Straighten the room and clean all toys before leaving. Toys that have had contact with saliva require special attention; a sanitizing solution will be available in the nursery.
Report any issues that hinder the performance of duties or responsibilities to Christian Education or the pastor.
Communicate any absences or lateness in advance whenever possible.

QUALIFICATIONS

High School Graduate – at least 18 years of age.
Background checks – or we can provide them.
Minimum two years of experience caring for children from ages 0 to 3, with the ability to adapt and interact with a variety of personalities.

PREFERRED

CPR Certified
Demonstrate knowledge of child development.
