Riverdale Presbyterian Church is seeking a passionate, Christ-centered leader to oversee and support our Christian education programs and ministries.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Christian Education Director works alongside the Pastor, Christian Education Committee, and volunteers to help children, youth, and adults grow in their faith.
 

This part-time position provides leadership and support for Riverdale’s Christian education ministries while helping create meaningful opportunities for learning, worship, fellowship, and service.

KEY RESPONSIBILIES

  • Plan and support weekly Children’s Church

  • Plan and lead monthly Youth Group, including an annual retreat or mission trip

  • Coordinate Sunday School with the Christian Education Elder Chairperson

  • Support the parent group leading Kids Club

  • Participate in planning Vacation Bible School

  • Work with the Pastor to involve children in worship

  • Participate in monthly Christian Education Committee meetings

  • Help develop the annual Christian Education budget

  • Oversee Riverdale’s Child Protection Policy and volunteer clearance requirements

  • Attend worship at Riverdale at least two Sundays each month

COMPENSATION

  • This position is up to 15 hours per week, starting at $15.00 per hour, with compensation based on experience and qualifications.

  • The position also includes 30 hours of paid time off per year and an annual performance and compensation review.
