                                                                Rev. Allan Drake - Pastor

Pastor Allan would like to welcome everyone to Riverdale United Presbyterian Church! Allan has been the pastor of Riverdale for 8 years.

Allan’s testimony reveals the amazing mercy of our God, Jesus Christ. He found the Lord in a powerful way while studying Communications at Slippery Rock University.   He accepted Jesus Christ as his personal savior, realizing that God had done so much for him that his only response was to give his life back Him. Pastor Allan then went to seminary at Trinity Episcopal School for Ministry in Ambridge, PA where he received Masters in Divinity. Soon after, Allan received his first call as a pastor in East Liverpool, Ohio. He was pastor of two small Churches: Grace Presbyterian & Calcutta United Presbyterian, both of which remain dear to his heart.   Allan has been married for nearly 18 years to his best friend Jennifer and has two twin children, Allyson and Andrew and a 1 year old, Aaron!

Allan seeks to preach the word “simply” and convey the Good News of Jesus Christ in creative ways with visual and dramatic aids.

Allan is very thankful Lord would permit him to preach from His pulpit and lead people to know Christ. Though he is a sinner, and not worthy of God’s call in his life by his own by his own merit, he is thankful for the grace, mercy, and forgiveness that comes through faith in Jesus Christ. This is the same Good News that Allan preaches every Sunday and strives to encourage the families at Riverdale to live out!

Allan loves to play his guitar for the Church at Riverdale, and perhaps you’ll get to hear him for an offertory one Sunday! Allan also enjoys riding his son Andrew's motorcycle to work!

Pastor Allan has provided Riverdale Church with needed leadership, pastoral care, organizational and administrative know how, engaging life changing sermons, and much love and care. At the heart of Allan's ministry is developing a personal relationship with Christ, reaching out to the lost, and loving and caring for one another the way that Acts 2: 42 - 47 teaches.
